Dr. Sanjay Mahendru is an alumnus of Christian Medical College, Ludhiana from where he graduated in 1996. After his general surgery training from Govt. Medical College, Patiala. Dr. Mahendru underwent specialist training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Seth G S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Mahendru stood first in the plastic surgery examination conducted by the Mumbai University and was awarded the degree of Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) in January 2006. Thereafter he passed the examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and was conferred upon, the degree of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Plastic Surgery.

On completion of his training Dr. Mahendru was appointed as Lecturer in the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Seth G S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, the position he held for next two years. During his stay in Mumbai Dr. Mahendru mastered the techniques of microvascular surgery besides the routine plastic surgery.

In 2008, Dr. Sanjay Mahendru began his fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Dr. Graeme Southwick at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, Melbourne, Australia. The fellowship program included intensive training in all aspects of cosmetic surgery. The fellowship is recognised by International Society Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is highly sought after the world over.

Dr. Mahendru has been awarded the Ethicon Traveling Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery for the year 2007 by the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI). He has also been awarded the Myovatec Fellowship for Training in Plastic Surgery for the year 2008. He is also the recepient of N H Antia Best Published Paper award for the year 2008 by APSI.

Dr. Mahendru has many publications to his name in peer reviewed national and international journals. He has also given presentations at both national and international platforms.

Dr. Mahendru has a special interest in  aesthetic (Cosmetic) surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, paediatric plastic surgery, skin cancer surgery and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Mahendru currently enjoys operating room facilities and consultation chambers at the prestigious Medanta - The Medicity, state of the art Supespeciality hospital.
